BarCampCSULB is, unfortunately, CANCELED.
What
BarCamp CSULB is an unconference made up of technical professionals, Internet enthusiasts, and other clever people in the Long Beach / Southern California area who wish to share and learn in an open environment.
Attendees don't just watch a set list of speakers. They give their own talks. Podcasting. Web standards. Microformats. Gum stick computers. Physical security. Robotics. Evolutionary algorithms. . It can be anything. This event is not just for stuffy developer types - one of the best barcamp presentations ever given was about sandwiches. Barcamp is what you make of it.
BarcampCSULB will feature all the tech content you love... with an extra dose of Art / Tech-Art / New Media to fuel your creative soul.
When

Registration
Add your name to the list below so that 1) we know how many bodies to prepare for, 2) other people can see what kind of talks to expect, and 3) let your fellow barcampers know what you'd be interested in hearing more about. Here are the men's and women's American Apparel sizing charts if you need them.
If you're not sure what you want to talk about (or if you're not sure you want to present) just put "Not Sure Yet" as your topic. If you get inspired later, you can revise.
If you're not familiar with wiki markup, click edit (Wiki Pass is "c4mp") then look for the line that says REGISTRATION LIST ENDS HERE and follow the directions. Email Glenn if you have any problems.
Don't forget to proclaim your attendance in typical Web 2.0 fashion on Eventful, Upcoming, and Facebook, too!

Talks We'd Love
Of course BarCamp invites everyone to give the talk of their choice, but here's a few things we'd really love to have someone present:
- Intro 2 Processing
- Intro 2 Creative Commons
Sponsors
It takes a fair amount of love and money to feed, clothe, and house a passel of geeks for a weekend. Contact us if you're interested.
Goodies
Wait, feed and clothe? To keep the weekend as intense as possible, sponsors provide catered meals and free tshirts so that you don't even have to think about such mundane basic needs. Yes, we like you that much. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.
Other activities
It's a big campus with tons of indoor and outdoor space. We'd like to plan a wide range of festivities for after Saturday's talks are over. Here are a few of the things we'd love to do. If you'd like to Orgainze or Help Orgainze one of these - add your name! If you've got other cool ideas - add 'em!
