About
A DemoCamp is a lighter-weight style of un-conference. A DemoCamp lasts only a few hours. Unlike a BarCamp, you don't have to actively participate. You are welcome to come along and give feedback to the people who do (or just watch and absorb if you don't feel like talking). Presenters are given 10 minute each, which includes introduction, demo, and Q&A time. After ten minutes with the mic, it's on to the next person. The presentations for this DemoCamp are below on this page.
Do you have a web site or web application, tool, a piece of software, a set of scripts, new toy, hardware hacks that you want feedback on? Bring it. Show it. Share! DemoCampPortland1 demo slots are now full. Please add your demo idea to the BarCampPortland session list if you're still interested in doing a demo during the BarCampPortland regular sessions.
- Rule #1: Talk about DemoCamp! Spread the word!
- Rule #2: No slides / PowerPoint, only working software, websites, hardware, etc.
- Rule #3: 10 minutes and you're off the stage, no time extensions.
- Rule #4: You do not have to be a Portland-area resident to present, but local participation is highly encouraged.
